The second largest organism on Earth is a fungus - Armillaria ostoyae.  A giant spaning 8.9 km2 (2,200 acres) and being 2400 years old! Is it a individual organism or a clonal colony? There's hot water on this matter. Bottom line, we talk about the same genetic makeup! What a parasite!!! :o :o
