Mushrooms and Toadstools

Mushrooms are generally referred to as edible sporophores, while the term toadstools are called onto indigestible or toxic sporophores. There is, however, no specific scientific contrast between both terms, and either one can be exercised on a chunky, fungus fruiting variety.
