Title: Let's talk about mushrooms as food
Post by: jonela on May 25, 2010, 01:09:53 PM
Mushrooms are an excelent food. There's no doubt about it. One of these days I'm going to write a little bit about their important content in vitamins, polysacharides, microelements, aminoacids and so on. They are healthy and tasteful at the same time.
I'm not a wild fan of mushrooms, but I appreciate a good meal ;)

Here's a piece of advise: Never eat a mushroom you don't know!  ::)

Mushrooms are cholesterol-free, and contain minor amounts of B vitamins as well as essential amino acids. Their primary worth, however, is as a food with exquisite, delicate flavors and pleasing texture.

I can't say I'm crazy about eating mushrooms. I think I tasted 4 or 5 species. I liked Boletus edulis most.
