The extract of water from this specific mushroom has been recently found to contain antitumor compounds for breast cancer. Its antitumor properties are identified in three pathways; it inhibits the growth of estrogen-independent (ER) ER+ and ER- cancer cells, and also induces both cells to die. It finally also inhibits the formation of tumor colony in vitro.
