I get why you say that – it's the vegetative part of the fungi which cannot reproduce sexually, and usually requires two compatible homokaryotic myclelia to link together and make up into a dikaryotic mycelium, which finally comes into fruiting bodies known as mushrooms

You are right about the fact that it is the vegetative part of the fungi, consists of thread like branches called hyphae. these are mostly found in fairy ring fungi.
